About the Book

Agricultural sustainability has become an essential goal in modern farming, where rising challenges like climate change, soil degradation, and pest resistance threaten both productivity and ecological balance. In response, Agricultural Sustainability: A Comprehensive Guide to Integrated Disease Management seeks to provide a holistic and practical approach to managing plant diseases that supports long-term agricultural health and resilience. This book emphasizes the concept of Integrated Disease Management (IDM), a sustainable strategy that combines biological, cultural, chemical, and genetic methods to control plant diseases. IDM is not a one-size-fits-all approach; instead, it requires an understanding of each crop's ecosystem, disease dynamics, and local environmental conditions. The methods discussed here integrate the latest advancements in plant pathology, pest management, and ecological engineering, offering practical solutions that minimize the dependency on chemical inputs and reduce their ecological impact.
