Plant diseases continue to challenge global food security, impacting agricultural productivity and livelihoods across ecosystems. As our understanding of plant-pathogen interactions evolves, there is a growing need for a consolidated resource that blends foundational knowledge with cutting-edge scientific advancements. Advanced Plant Pathology: From Concepts to Cutting-Edge Applications has been developed with this vision—to provide students, researchers, and practitioners with an integrated view of both classical and modern aspects of plant pathology. This book covers a wide range of topics, from the molecular and cellular mechanisms of disease to the latest tools in diagnostics, genomics, and biotechnology. Chapters on fungal and viral pathogenesis, nematode biology and host resistance provide insights into disease dynamics, while sections on integrated disease management, disease forecasting and postharvest innovations present practical solutions for sustainable agriculture.
