She holds a Ph.D. in Design, Her work blends teaching, curriculum development, hands-on design training, and academic writing, with Scopus-indexed publications and national and international conference presentations to her credit. An accomplished academic and mentor, she has conducted workshops in fashion illustration, garment construction, surface ornamentation, and textile enhancement, and has guided numerous student projects and fashion shows. Her research interests include adaptive clothing, sustainable fashion, and zero-waste fashion. Actively involved in various departmental and institutional initiatives, Dr. Mahajan continues to contribute significantly to academic growth and innovation in fashion education.

She also has industrial experience as a Head Designer, Quality Controller, CAD Designer, and Stylist. She holds a Ph.D. in Design, and has contributed chapters to UGC-sponsored books as well as papers published in Scopus-indexed journals. She has conducted workshops in fashion illustration, garment construction, surface ornamentation, and textile enhancement, and have guided student projects and fashion shows. Her research and professional interests include sustainable fashion, protective clothing, apparel innovation, and zero-wastage fashion practices.
