About the Book

Education has never been less than a reflection of society, reproducing its values, challenges, and aspirations. Now, amidst fast changing artificial intelligence, environmental emergencies, and increased global interdependence, schools are confronted with unprecedented ethical challenges. This book addresses that imperative by investigating the ethical futures of education—how we learn, what we value, and how technology redefines learning. The trip starts with artificial intelligence, questioning whether AI tutors, grading apps, and generative aids such as ChatGPT are friends or foes in the classroom. It then proceeds to digital inequality, examining how access disparities in EdTech have the potential to bring about a new moral divide. Student data ownership questions
overcrowd the debate on who owns student data, whereas algorithmic bias uncovers how prediction programs can replicate injustice.
