About the Book

Plant diseases pose significant challenges to agricultural productivity and food security worldwide. The management of these diseases has evolved considerably over the years, driven by advances in scientific understanding, technology, and the growing recognition of the complexities involved in agricultural ecosystems.
Integrated Plant Disease Management (IPDM) represents a holistic approach that integrates various strategies to effectively manage plant diseases while minimizing adverse environmental impacts and maximizing economic returns. This book, "Integrated Plant Disease Management in Agriculture: Principles & Practices," aims to provide a comprehensive overview of the principles, strategies, and practices involved in IPDM. In this volume, we delve into the fundamental concepts underlying plant disease management, emphasizing the importance of prevention, early detection, and intervention strategies. We explore the role of cultural, biological, chemical, and molecular approaches in disease management, highlighting their integration into sustainable agricultural systems. We hope this book serves as a valuable resource for researchers, extension professionals, students, and practitioners involved in agriculture and plant health. By promoting a comprehensive and integrated approach to disease management, we aim to contribute to the resilience and sustainability of agricultural systems globally.
